Refund policy

We want you to feel confident when ordering from How To Be Green, LLC. Please review the following requirements before returning a product.

Return Eligibility

Eligible products may be returned for a refund within 30 days of receiving your order.

To qualify for a return, the product must be:

  • New and unused
  • In its original condition
  • Returned with all product tags attached
  • Returned in its original packaging

Due to the hypoallergenic nature of our products and applicable bedding laws, products that have been used, laundered, removed from their original packaging, or otherwise altered are not eligible for a refund or exchange.

“Used” means the product was personally used for any length of time.

Please do not use or wash any product you intend to return.

Protecting Your Return

We recommend keeping the product in its original packaging and shipping box until you are certain you would like to keep it.

Products intended for return should be kept away from strong scents and scented products, including:

  • Perfume and cologne
  • Plug-in air fresheners
  • Scented hand creams and soaps
  • Scented laundry products
  • Other perfumed personal care or household products

Any returned product containing an odor, hair, fibers, lint, debris, stains, or other signs of use will be considered used and will not qualify for a refund or exchange.

Natural Wool Scent

Wool-filled bedding may have a mild, natural lanolin aroma. This is a normal characteristic of authentic wool and is not considered a product defect.

We recommend allowing the product to air out in a clean, well-ventilated area for one to two weeks. The natural wool aroma should gradually dissipate.

Return Authorization Required

All returns require authorization before they are shipped.

To request a return authorization, contact customer service at 615-300-4434 during our regular business hours:

Closed Saturday and Sunday

Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.

Customer service will provide return instructions after confirming that the product is eligible for return. Please do not send a return to our P.O. box unless specifically instructed to do so.

Return Shipping and Original Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If an order qualified for free shipping, the actual cost How To Be Green, LLC paid to ship the original order will be deducted from the refund.

We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service when returning a product. How To Be Green, LLC is not responsible for returns that are lost or damaged in transit.

Refunds

After an authorized return is received and inspected, we will determine whether it meets the return requirements outlined above.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method, less any non-refundable original shipping costs. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to post the refund to your account.

Products that do not meet the return requirements will not qualify for a refund or exchange.

Damaged Shipments and Shipping Claims

If your order arrives damaged, contact How To Be Green, LLC immediately at 615-300-4434 so that a damage claim can be filed with the shipping carrier.

You must retain:

  • The original shipping box or boxes
  • All interior packaging materials
  • The damaged product
  • Any labels included with the shipment

The shipping carrier may require the package and its contents to be inspected. If the original shipping box or packaging materials are discarded before the inspection is completed, you may waive your ability to file a shipping damage claim.

Please photograph the damaged product, shipping box, packaging materials, and shipping label before moving or disposing of anything.
